Does any of this sound familiar?

You do not need to know the answer already. We can start with the question and work out what needs attention first.

  • You have a website but are unsure whether it needs a redesign or a complete rebuild.
  • You want to start from scratch but do not know what to ask the person building it.
  • You are considering e-commerce but do not know whether it is really necessary.
  • You need a members’ area but are unsure how to structure it.
  • Your website has grown over time without a clear structure.
  • You have questions about UX, accessibility or the technical setup.
  • You have received different proposals and are unsure which direction to choose.
  • You know something needs to change but not what should come first.

BEFORE YOU DECIDE

Before a quote, we need to understand the problem

A new website is not always the answer. Adding features, changing CMS or redesigning before clarifying goals and priorities can mean investing in the wrong direction.

The first step is understanding what the project actually needs.

A WAY FORWARD

How the session works

What we do in 60 minutes

  1. 01

    Start with the context

Goals, problems, users, constraints and what already exists.

  2. 02

    Get to the real issue

Separate what looks like the problem from what may actually be causing it.

  3. 03

    Look at the options

Structure, UX, features, technical considerations and priorities.

  4. 04

    Set a direction

Understand what makes sense now, what can wait and what the next step could be.

Other options

When a Web Project Review is not the right service

The Review is useful when the direction is still unclear. It is never a required step.

  • You have already defined the project and simply need a quote.
  • Your requirements and structure are already clear.
  • You already know which service you want to commission.
  • You need a full Accessibility Audit. Explore the Accessibility Audit
  • You have already decided to move ahead with a redesign. Explore Redesign
  • You are looking for a clearly defined, hands-on task.

You do not need to know what to ask for yet

If you already knew which service, structure or technology you needed, you probably would not need this consultation.

That is exactly why the Web Project Review exists: to find the right question before looking for an answer.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to have a website already?

No. We can start with an existing project or an idea you are still developing.

Do I need to know which service I need?

No. Helping you work that out is one of the goals of the Review.

Will you review my entire website?

No. The Web Project Review is not a full audit. We focus on what is needed to understand the issue and set a direction.

Can I use it before asking for a quote?

Yes, especially if the project is not fully defined. It is not necessary if your goals and requirements are already clear.

What if I want to work with you afterwards?

We can look at the service that fits best and prepare a project quote if needed.

Do I receive anything after the call?

Yes. You receive a brief recap with the priorities and next steps we discussed.

Can I use the Review for a website you did not build?

Yes.

Is it a technical audit?

No. If a deeper assessment is needed, we can consider the most suitable dedicated service.
